Boil Off Management & Ancillary Equipment Operation
Purpose:
This stage covers the general systems of the site to enable the effective management of boil off. The candidate will cover all theses areas.
Theory and practical activities are included:
The systems include:
- Instrument Air
- Nitrogen
- Fuel Gas
- Water treatment
- Cooling facilities
- Heat exchangers
- Storage tanks
- Compressors
- Recondensers
- Enrichment
This stage also describes valve types, basic control systems, flame proofing methods, gas and fire detection. Some theory on electrical power and exercises on power consumption are included.
In addition the candidate is introduced to plant isolations and purging. This includes task identification, risk assessment, properties of gasses, purging methods and purge end point measurements. These exercises shold be aligned to you permitry procedures.
On completion of these three stages, your candidate will understand your boil off management and ancillary plant and will be able to operate it with minimal supervision.
Training can be progressed by completing additional stages.
